What is a Chemical Peel?

Chemical peels cause intentional damage to the epidermis and/or dermis to exfoliate and improve skin texture and tone, reduce acne or improve hyperpigmentation and sundamage. We use AlumierMD product line that offers a selection of AHA, BHA and enzymatic formulations that can be customized to your specific concerns.

What peel is right for me?

Our philosophy of skincare aligns well with AlumierMD who believe in superficial to medium depth peels that have are effective and have an excellent safety profile. Mild to moderate treatments conducted more frequently allow for great results with minimum downtime. Depending on your skincare concern, a series of either AHA, BHA or enzymes, or a combination of the three may be recommended after careful assessment of your skin.

Process

After cleansing and prepping the skin, the chosen peel is applied and left to sit for a select amount of time depending on the strength/concentration of the solution. If required, it is neutralized and removed from the skin. Depending on the peel, mild redness may be observed after the treatment. The solution exfoliates the layers of the skin and some flakiness or peeling of the dermis may occur over the next 4-14 days. The process takes about 15-30 minutes. A post-procedure kit is provided to you to maximize healing and results. Repeat treatments may occur at 2-4 weeks depending on the type and your response to treatment.
